The Sacramento Police Department unearthed a collection of guns and drugs Tuesday while serving two search warrants.

As part of an an investigation regarding narcotics and firearms violations, Sacramento police officers from the South Gang Enforcement Team served two warrants in the 4000 block of 46th Street in Sacramento and the 400 block of Maple Street in West Sacramento. During the searches, they found a privately manufactured AR-15 rifle, three handguns, five pounds of crystal meth and over $50,000 in cash.

Officers arrested Andrew Deollas, 32, in connection with the searches. He will be charged with narcotics distribution and illegal weapons charges, the Sacramento Police Department wrote in a social media post.

“Our officers continue to work to address people in possession of illegal firearms in our community,” the department wrote.

The West Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the searches.
