A man was arrested in Lincoln after police officers found him in possession of a motorcycle and trailer reported stolen in Davis.

Justin Scott, 40, of Vallejo, was driving a truck connected to a trailer when he was contacted by Lincoln Police in a traffic enforcement stop, the Lincoln Police Department announced on social media Tuesday. The stop occurred around noon Sunday in the area of Lincoln Blvd and Ferrari Ranch Rd.

During the stop, a police officer conducted a records check on both the trailer itself and a motorcycle found lying on its side on the trailer, hidden by a tarp. Both vehicles had been reported stolen to Davis Police Department.

A search of Scott’s vehicle found additional stolen property, burglary tools and drug paraphernalia, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

Scott was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicles and booked at the South Placer jail.

The stolen items were held for safekeeping until they can be returned to their owners, according to posts on social media.
