Police tape at crime scene

Multiple vehicles and buildings were struck by gunfire Thursday evening in Galt, police said, but no gunshot victims were located.

Officers responded just after 6:15 p.m. to reports of shots fired near the 300 block of Fifth Street, the Galt Police Department said in a news release.

“Multiple vehicles and structures were struck by gunfire,” police wrote.

The suspect or suspects in the shooting remain outstanding, the Police Department said, calling it an apparent “isolated incident” with no threat to the public.

Galt police asked anyone with information related to the incident to contact its non-emergency dispatch line at 209-366-7000.
