Police tape at crime scene

Galt police have identified the man killed in a Monday night shooting that left two others wounded as detectives continue their investigation into the deadly incident.

Jimmy Franklin Crisp, 25, died en route to a hospital shortly after the shooting in the 200 block of McFarland Street, Galt police officials said in a statement Tuesday. Galt police were called about 8:11 p.m., where they found the wounded Crisp.

Initial reports to officers were that as many as three people were said to have been shot, police said, but officers later found that two gunshot victims were driven to nearby hospitals.

Police questioned several other people at the residence, Galt authorities said, but released no further details on arrests or the extent of injuries.

Anyone with information on the Monday incident is asked to call Galt police Det. Mark Fewel at 209-366-7005. Callers can remain anonymous.
