Galt man arrested, accused of stabbing woman inside Sacramento County home
A man stabbed a woman multiple times in a Galt neighborhood Sunday morning and was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.
Officers located the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Sergio Alfaro of Galt, still inside the home where the stabbing took place, the Galt Police Department said in a news release.
Police responded to the area of Lincoln Way and Wendy Hope Drive shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday for reports of a woman with multiple stab wounds.
The woman was taken to a hospital for her injuries and is expected to survive, according to the news release.
Alfaro was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and parole violation. He is ineligible for bail, jail records show.
