Sac State police seek man accused of engaging in sex with teen picked up on campus

The Sacramento State Police Department is investigating a report of a 16-year-old girl who was picked up on campus by a man who drove her around and engaged in sex with her before dropping her off near a campus restaurant early Tuesday morning.

Police said an officer was flagged down at 3:24 a.m. by a woman who reported that her daughter had gone with or was taken by a man who then had sexual intercourse with her at various locations in the Sacramento area. The victim told police that she encountered the man while she was standing in front of the Capital Public Radio building at the south end of the campus about midnight, according to a Police Department news release. She said he drove her around, then dropped her off near the Fahrenheit 250 restaurant about 3 a.m.

The man was described as Latino, in his mid 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds, with short black hair and a black mustache. He was driving a white four-door, police-type sedan with a gray leather interior.
