Roseville police are seeking help in finding a woman suspected of using stolen checks.

The woman in early May forged the name of the woman who owned the checks and used them to buy merchandise at Roseville, Rocklin and Auburn stores. She left some of the stores with a man who drove an older, gold Pontiac sedan.

The checks were stolen from the mail of an elderly Roseville resident. The victim had to change her bank account information.

She and her family also had to deal with debt collectors as a result of the thief’s misdeeds.

Anyone who recognizes the woman in the security camera photo provided by police is asked to leave a message for the investigating officer at 916-774-5040.
