Elk Grove woman found in motel room with school principal released from jail

A 21-year-old Elk Grove woman arrested on drug charges after she was found in a Rancho Cordova motel room with a Marin County principal is due back in court Tuesday.

Brittney Hall spent six days in Sacramento County jail after before being released early Thursday. She was arrested Oct. 3 at the Hyatt Place hotel along with Thomas “Woody” Price, 54, principal of the Branson School in Ross, after Rancho Cordova police received a call from a man asking that they check on his girlfriend, who was in a hotel room with a man. Police said the caller provided the names of Price and Hall.

When officers went to the room, they found Hall passed out on the bed. A police spokesman said officers eventually roused heesman said officers eventually roused her and found prescription medication and illegal drugs, including heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine, in the room.

According to Sacramento Superior Count online records, Hall is scheduled for a settlement conference and bail review on Tuesday.

Price was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and possession of methamphetamine for sale. He was released Oct. 4 after posting $75,000 bail and has resigned as principal of the Branson School. He is to be arraigned Nov. 24.
