Update: Davis school is evacuated after bomb threat. ‘Students are safe,’ district says

Breaking News

A Davis middle school was evacuated Thursday afternoon because of a bomb threat, school district officials said.

Police have responded to Holmes Junior High School and are investigating, Davis Joint Unified School District said in a social media post shortly after 12:15 p.m.

Students and staff were evacuated to the campus track, according to the post. Parents were asked to pick up their students as soon as possible at Chestnut Park, district officials said in an update just before 1:45 p.m.

“Students are safe,” district officials wrote. “We will keep you updated as we know more.”

Holmes Junior High is on Drexel Drive in Davis. People are asked to avoid the area.
