Man gets decades-long prison term for raping woman as kids slept, Sacramento court rules
A Sacramento County judge sentenced a man to 46 years to life in state prison for charges stemming from the 2021 rape of his ex-girlfriend.
Jorge Enrique Martinez Molina, 38, was convicted in early December 2022 of charges including assault to commit rape with use of a firearm and forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release.
By Sept. 25, 2021, Molina and the victim’s relationship was over when the victim went out with her friends, prosecutors said. Molina was texting the victim, demanding to know where she was and used a tracking device to locate her.
Molina then went to the woman’s house and waited for her to return, according to prosecutors. When she got back to her house, she went to bed.
The woman awoke to Molina standing over her in the bedroom, pointing a gun at her and demanding she have sex with him, according to authorities.
Molina sexually assaulted the woman while their children slept in the next room, according to the release. The woman fought Molina during the assault and was able to grab a phone to call 911, prosecutors said.
