Manslaughter arrest made after man was found dead in Carmichael home, deputies say
A man has been arrested after an assault left a man dead early Wednesday in Carmichael, authorities said.
The victim was found around 1 a.m. inside a residence near Garfield and Locust avenues, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Amar Gandhi said. The man was unconscious and not breathing when deputies arrived, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene by fire personnel, who told sheriff’s officials that the victim’s injuries were the result of an assault and that the suspect remained at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Detectives arrested 33-year-old Trenton Snider in connection with the death, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Snider was booked Wednesday afternoon into the Sacramento County Main Jail on felony charges of voluntary manslaughter, threats and elder abuse, jail records show. His bail is set at $125,000.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has released the Dale Allen Mack, 60, of Carmichael as the man who suffered fatal injuries in the April 5 assault in the 4200 block of Garfield Avenue.
