The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department released Thursday security footage of a woman suspected in a string of five bank robberies between July 1 and July 15.
In each instance, the woman is suspected of passing a note to the bank tellers saying she was armed and demanding money, according to a release from the sheriff’s department.
The suspect is an African American woman in her late teens to early 20s, of medium built and about five feet tall.
The Citibank and Bank of West locations in a Manzanita Avenue shopping complex in Carmichael were robbed on July 1 and July 9 respectively.

The woman also is suspected of robbing three Chase Bank branches in Sacramento. The 9165 Kiefer Boulevard branch was robbed July 14. Branch locations at 3600 El Camino Avenue and 3601 Fair Oaks Boulevard were robbed July 15.
The woman took an undisclosed amount of cash. No vehicle has been identified.
