Police seek help identifying thieves in Elk Grove business burglaries

Elk Grove police are asking the public’s help in identifying two intruders who were captured by surveillance video breaking into Elk Grove businesses.

At 3:15 a.m. July 10, both burglars entered Bull Wings at 9625 E. Stockton Blvd. by prying open a patio door. Once inside, they gained access to a locked office and removed an undisclosed amount of money, according to a Police Department news release.

At 3:21 a.m. Monday, one burglar entered Cassidy’s Family Restaurant, 8511 Elk Grove Blvd., by unknown means, police said. He removed money from the register and a storage area.

The man captured on surveillance video at both locations was described as approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds. In both burglaries, he was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. He also has a distinctive cross tattoo on his left forearm and another tattoo on an elbow and upper arm.

The second thief, who was captured on surveillance video at Bull Wings, is described as about 20 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was wearing an A’s baseball cap, a black or gray zip-up jacket and dark jeans.

The robber’s vehicle is described as a dark-colored Nissan Quest or Mercury Villager van.

Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
