A Roseville man pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Pablo Ramos, 50, is accused of using Kik, an instant messaging app, to send “multiple files containing child pornography” in September 2020, according to court documents.

Ramos is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 8 by U.S. District Judge Dale A. Drozd. He could face up to 20 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said, and he will have to register as a sex offender.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to a news release.
