Reports of shooting near midtown Sacramento leads to suspect’s arrest, police say

Officers arrested a suspect Thursday morning after reports of a shooting in midtown Sacramento.

Shortly after 9 a.m., officers were called to the 600 block of 17th Street, near F Street and Washington Park in the city’s Boulevard Park neighborhood.

The officers arrived at the reported shooting scene and found an uninjured victim, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

During the shooting investigation, the officers identified and located the suspect who was “safely arrested for assault-related charges,” police said. The shooting remained under investigation, police said.
