Update: Two detained after shots fired in North Oak Park near community center

Two people were taken into custody Sunday by Sacramento police following a report of a disturbance near a home in North Oak Park.

The situation began when officers received reports of shots fired near a home in the area 35th Street and Second Avenue, the department said. The area is near North Hall Community Center, where Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and other events are held.

No one was injured, officers said.

About 11 a.m., officers used loudspeakers at a home with two occupants. The subjects surrender without incident and were detained, police said.

The department the incident remains under investigation.
