A woman was arrested Friday night in connection with a string of Sacramento bank robberies this month.
The woman, booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail as Donimique Marie Polani, was arrested in the Bakersfield area, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. Public records and a Facebook page appearing to belong to Polani shows the spelling of the first name as Dominique.
Polani, 22, of Sacramento, was charged with robbery and is being held on $500,000 bail, according to a statement issued Saturday. She declined an interview request Saturday.
Detectives received several tips after releasing surveillance footage of a woman in a baseball cap and black-rimmed glasses suspected of robbing five banks between July 1 and July 15 – two on Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael, one on Kiefer Boulevard in Rosemont, one on El Camino Avenue in Arden Arcade and one on Fair Oaks Boulevard in Carmichael.

In each incident, Polani allegedly passed a note to the bank teller claiming she was armed and demanded money. Authorities did not release the amount of money she allegedly stole.
In a statement Saturday, the Sheriff’s Department thanked the public for help identifying Polani.
