Man booked for allegedly pistol-whipping another in Rocklin
Rocklin police arrested Jonathan Ivey over the weekend for allegedly pistol-whipping another man.
Ivey, 21, of Rocklin was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and exhibiting a firearm.
Police said in weekly crime summary that at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, Ivey is suspected of approaching a man with a gun and pointing it at him. A fight began, during which Ivey is alleged to have struck the man more than once with the firearm.
Ivey fled the scene, but was later arrested, according to police.
