Alleged serial shoplifter arrested after leaving Rocklin Target store through fire escape

The Rocklin Police Department arrested an accused serial Target shoplifter last week as the Sacramento resident attempted to flee through a fire exit, authorities said.

A loss prevention officer saw the man Thursday inside the Target store at 5104 Commons Drive reportedly loading up his cart with a Dyson purifier, bug spray and other items, according to a police news release.

Police officers were called to the scene and surrounded the Target, the news release said. The suspect was arrested after he was spotted pushing a cart allegedly containing merchandise through a fire exit.

A 58-year-old Sacramento man was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and three other warrants seeking misdemeanor charges out of Placer County.
