Four dogs died Sunday after a Roseville home caught on fire, the Roseville Fire Department stated.

Firefighters were called just before 11:25 a.m. Sunday to the Sierra Vista neighborhood for a report of a residence on fire. Five dogs and a snake was rescued from the single-story home, firefighters said.

There were no people in the home, where flames were contained to one room, firefighters said.

Two dogs were taken to a veterinarian hospital by Roseville animal control officers.

The cause behind the fire has yet to be determined.
