Pedestrian dies after being struck by multiple vehicles near Rocklin, CHP says

A pedestrian is dead after being struck by multiple cars Tuesday morning, while making their way across Interstate 80, according to California Highway Patrol.

At around 4:30 a.m., a pedestrian near Rocklin tried to cross Interstate 80 east of Highway 65. The pedestrian was struck by multiple cars heading west along the freeway, said highway patrol in a news post.

No injuries were reported to drivers or passengers, however the pedestrian died from their injuries.

Interstate 80 was closed but has since reopened. An investigation is underway.
