A cross-agency operation targeting the distribution of fentanyl and drugs resulted in 15 arrests throughout the Sacramento region, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The Folsom Police Department led the operation dubbed “Folsom Blues” Friday to Saturday seeking out street-level drug dealers who distribute narcotics via online marketplaces and social media, deputies said in a news release.

Police officers and deputies created undercover accounts to arrange the drug deals, and then arrested alleged dealers, during the operation.

In addition to the arrests, authorities seized 350 grams of fentanyl, more than $15,000, hundreds of pills and drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine.

Some of the participating agencies included the Citrus Heights Police Department, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Placer County Sheriff’s Office, the Roseville Police Department, the California Highway Patrol and Homeland Security Investigations.
