A Rio Vista High School teacher, baseball coach and athletic director was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

Rio Vista police and Solano County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Drake Sherman, 33, on Saturday, after serving a warrant at his home, authorities said. Investigators say they found child sex assault materials and evidence that Sherman had downloaded materials onto devices.

Sherman was being held without bail Monday at Solano County Jail in Fairfield, according to jail records. Sherman is scheduled to appear on the charges 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Solano Superior Court on 14 counts connected to the arrest.
