Robbers hold victims at gunpoint in Northern California $150K cannabis farm heist, deputies say

Police tape at crime scene

A group of masked robbers barged into a licensed cannabis farm in Northern California last week as victims slept and stole about $150,000 worth of marijuana, authorities said.

The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office received a call Thursday morning of a break-in at a cannabis farm on the 12000 block of Sunshine Valley Road in Grass Valley.

Five victims reported masked robbers held them at gunpoint and fled before deputies arrived. No injuries were reported.

The suspects stole about 150 pounds of “processed cannabis” with an estimated value of $150,000, deputies said.

“Surveillance cameras at the property had also been reportedly disabled,” a news release from the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office said.

Three of the suspects appeared to be men and wore gloves. Deputies said there were four robbers in all.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office at 530-265-1417 and may remain anonymous.
