Arrest made after woman killed in North Natomas apartment shooting, Sacramento police say

Sacramento police have arrested a man on suspicion of homicide after a woman was gunned down Monday at an apartment complex in North Natomas.

Officers were called just after 11 p.m. for reports of a shooting at the Willow Glen Apartments on the 1600 block of Scarlet Ash Avenue in the Village 5 neighborhood, said Officer Allison Smith, a spokeswoman for the Sacramento Police Department.

A woman who suffered at least one gunshot wound was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The woman was expected to be identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after her family had been notified.

Tevin Keion Lewis, 32, was arrested in connection to the shooting. He faces a homicide charge and is being held without bail at Sacramento County Main Jail.
