Davis man found with 600 child pornography images, including ‘sexual sadism,’ sheriff says

A Davis man accused of having more than 600 images of child pornography was arrested on Christmas Eve after a six-month investigation, according to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a 35-year-old man in July who is accused of having child sexual abuse material, or child porn.

Investigators executed a search warrant in September at the suspect’s home on J Street in Davis and seized electronic devices, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The devices contained 600 images of child porn, including “content depicting sexual sadism,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

The man was arrested on Christmas Eve. He was in custody Thursday at the Monroe Detention Center in Yolo County, according to online jail records.
