Man wounded in Del Paso Heights shooting now in stable condition, Sacramento police say

A man was hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday after a shooting North Sacramento, according to Sacramento police.

Officers are investigating the shooting that happened just after 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Avenue on the border of the Del Paso Heights and Hagginwood neighborhoods. Officers found the man with at least one gunshot wound, said Officer Anthony Gamble, a police spokesman.

Gamble said the man was initially in critical condition when emergency responders took him to a hospital but that his condition had improved to “stable” on Wednesday.

Police had no information on a possible suspect in the shooting.
