Evidence and search warrants lead Rocklin police to arrest suspects in motorsports burglary
Investigators arrested a group of suspects who broke into a business last year in Rocklin and stole six dirt bikes they loaded onto a stolen U-Haul truck before leaving, police said.
The reported burglary occurred March 18 at Roseville Motorsports located on Pacific Street in Rocklin. Six suspects arrived at the business in three stolen vehicles, including the U-Haul truck, the Rocklin Police Department said Wednesday afternoon in a news release.
Police said the suspects forced entry into the motorsports business, grabbed the dirt bikes and loaded them onto the U-Haul truck and drove away.
The Police Department continued the investigation that went on for several months with detectives “carefully analyzing evidence and developing key leads,” according to the news release. The detectives obtained search warrants and identified a primary suspect.
Police said detectives served a search warrant at the suspect’s home that led them to evidence that helped identify five additional suspects connected to the burglary.
The Police Department worked with the Placer County District Attorney’s Office and Bay Area law enforcement agencies. The detectives obtained arrest warrants for five additional suspects that lead to their apprehension. The police news release did not include the names or ages of the suspects arrested.
