Sacramento police investigating fatal hit-and-run collision on Roseville Road

Sacramento police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a man Thursday in a hit-and-run collision on Roseville Road.

The department said officers responded to the 3900 block of Roseville Road just after 7 a.m. to find the man’s body near the roadway. Officers and Sacramento Fire Department personnel called to the scene pronounced the man dead. The man’s identity was not immediately known.

Officers closed the area of Roseville Road between Longview Drive and Tri Stations Road following the fatal incident just after 7 a.m., and are directing motorists to take alternate routes to avoid the area, police officials said.
