Q: Please let us know about Troy Ewing, who allegedly molested children in the past two or three years. He lived in the Woodlake section of North Sacramento and possibly in the Carmichael area. Was there a trial?

A: No account of the arrest was found in The Sacramento Bee’s archives, but inmate information available online shows that Troy R. Ewing, 38, was booked into Sacramento County Jail in June 2014.

He remains in custody, awaiting trial on eight counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child younger than 14 and six counts of engaging in a sex act with a child 10 or younger. His bail is set at $1.2 million.

According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, Ewing’s next court date, for a trial readiness conference, is Sept. 17, with a trial set for Sept. 24.
