Sacramento police seek hit-and-run suspect who killed woman on Stockton Boulevard

Police are searching for a suspected hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a woman late Thursday on Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento.

The unidentified woman was walking in the area of Stockton Boulevard and Riza Avenue when she was fatally struck, according to Sacramento Police Department officials.

Officers were called to the scene just after 9 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department said. Officers found the woman and rendered aid, but she was later pronounced dead.

She was expected to be identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office in the coming days.

The driver fled the scene and authorities had no description of the vehicle involved in the fatal collision.
