Man hospitalized after early morning stabbing at Woodland intersection
A man was hospitalized with serious injuries early Monday following a stabbing near the intersection of California and West Court streets in Woodland, police said.
Officers responded around 5 a.m. and found a man with stab wounds, according to Woodland Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Ryan Bowler. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.
No updates were immediately available on the man’s condition, Bowler said. A suspect has yet to be identified, he added.
Chimann Yip, who was working at Donut Star at the corner where the incident occurred, said the area was closed to traffic by 5:30 a.m., which slowed customer traffic.
After clearing the scene, the roadway reopened.
