A Sacramento man accused of robbing a mail carrier Monday in Roseville was booked into jail on robbery and firearm charges, according to the Roseville Police Department.

Police responded around 2 p.m. Monday to the area of Pixie Place, where a postal worker reported that a man had brandished a weapon. The carrier was not injured.

Witness statements and neighborhood camera footage helped officers identify the suspect and his vehicle.

Roseville and Sacramento police located the man later that day and arrested him during a traffic stop. Officers recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the robbery and a set of mail keys, police said.

The suspect was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and carrying a firearm in public, according to Roseville police.
