West Sacramento police seek help identifying suspect in assault

West Sacramento police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man sought in connection with an Aug. 6 assault at a Walmart store in the city.

Police said the incident occurred about 7:40 p.m.

On Thursday, police released surveillance photos of the suspect, who is described as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with brown hair and a large tattoo on the back of his right hand. He reportedly left the area in a gray, late-1990s four-door Ford Escort.
