Placer County sheriff’s officials are asking the public for help in identifying a man who they say may have committed an armed robbery at a Granite Bay bank Thursday.
The robbery occurred about 6:07 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank, 8475 Auburn Folsom Road.
The man, shown in a surveillance photo, was described as in his 40s or 50s, and about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a brown fishing hat and an orange Home Depot apron with brown clothing, possibly flannel, underneath the apron. He was armed with a handgun, the Sheriff’s Office said, and was last seen heading north from the bank on foot.
