Video captures moment when helicopter slams into busy Highway 50 in Sacramento
A video shows the moment a medical helicopter crashed into a busy Sacramento highway Monday.
The medevac helicopter slammed onto the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 in East Sacramento, leaving three people with critical injuries while blocking traffic through the night.
Just after 7 p.m., the helicopter departing UC Davis Medical Center fell from the sky onto the eastbound lanes just west of 59th Street, near the Sacramento State campus.
