Motorist killed in Interstate 5 crash near Elk Grove is identified
The coroner has identified a motorist killed when he lost control and his pickup flew off Interstate 5 onto a surface street below.
Jose Perez Guido, 26, of Rio Vista was listed on the coroner’s website as the person killed in the 2:30 a.m. Saturday crash just south of Elk Grove.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Guido was traveling southbound north of Lambert Road when he lost control of his truck, which crossed a lane and hit a metal guardrail. His truck went through the guardrail and landed on Lambert Road below the freeway.
Guido died at the scene.
