Arrest made in September homicide in downtown Sacramento, police say

Homicide investigation

Detectives have arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of homicide following an early September death in downtown Sacramento.

Police responded around 11 p.m. Sept. 2 to the area of 11th and K streets for a man with blunt-force trauma injuries. The Sacramento Police Department said the victim died of his injuries at a hospital.

Detectives arrested Dominick Curtisgreen, 18, of Carmichael on Tuesday, the Police Department said in a Wednesday news release.

The victim died at the hospital on Sept. 2 but the coroner did not rule the death a homicide until a later date, Police Department spokesperson Officer Allison Smith said.

Curtisgreen was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is ineligible for bail. He is scheduled to Thursday afternoon in Sacramento Superior Court.
