Man arrested for allegedly setting fire at a Dutch Bros, Citrus Heights police say

Police tape blocks entrance to a convenience store in San Luis Obispo County.

A man was arrested Sunday for allegedly setting fire at a Dutch Bros coffee shop, a spokesperson for the Citrus Heights Police Department said.

At approximately 2:50 a.m. Sunday, police say the suspect set a fire at the Dutch Bros Coffee located near the intersection of Antelope Road and Lichen Drive. The fire caused close to $1,000 in damages to a tabletop and a bench, according to Sergeant Ryan Smith with the Citrus Heights Police Department.

The suspect was booked into Sacramento County and bail was set at $1 million.

Smith said the suspect is “a prolific criminal” in the city, and charges are pending for an incident that happened on Feb. 15, where authorities responded to a call for a fire being set in an encampment located near Auburn Boulevard and Cedar Drive. Smith said the same suspect threw items, including rocks, at first responders and charges were pending for arson and assault.
