1 wounded in Yuba City officer-involved shooting; officers unhurt

An officer-involved shooting Thursday in Yuba City has sent one to the hospital as police continue to investigate the incident.

The shooting happened about 9:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of Rapid Falls Drive near Bogue Road in the southern end of the city. No officers were seriously hurt in the morning incident. Department officials gave few details in a brief statement saying only that officers responded to an incident at the address.

Police said there was no public threat.

The person who was wounded in the exchange with officers was taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known Thursday afternoon.

Yuba Sutter Regional Officer-Involved Shooting Team was on scene to investigate the shooting, said department officials.
