Police investigate dead body found in North Sacramento’s Robla neighborhood

Sacramento police are investigating after a man was found dead Wednesday afternoon in North Sacramento with blunt-force trauma injuries.

Officers responded to the area of May Street and Jessie Avenue in the Robla neighborhood about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday after reports of a possible dead body, Sacramento police officials said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and homicide detectives and crime scene investigators took over the investigation.

Sacramento County coroner’s officials were expected to release the man’s identity once next of kin are notified. Police said there is no suspect information.
