Two men were arrested Saturday in Grass Valley on multiple drug-related charges, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.

A Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop early Saturday morning on Highway 174 after noticing a vehicle code violation. Two men in their 40s were inside the vehicle. During the stop, the deputy saw a white crystalline substance in plain view, believed to be narcotics, which led to a search of the vehicle.

Authorities said the deputy found 1.6 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, 0.6 ounces of suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

The Sheriff’s Office said 0.1 grams of methamphetamine is a typical single-use amount, and the quantity recovered equates to roughly 453 single-use doses, suggesting intent to sell.

A 40-year-old man and a 43-year-old man were arrested and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on several drug-related charges, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
