North Natomas resident disarms armed robbery suspect, Sacramento police say

Police tape blocks entrance to a convenience store in San Luis Obispo County.

A North Natomas resident disarmed an attempted robbery suspect Tuesday morning in the Sundance Lake neighborhood, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Officers responded around 8:15 a.m. to a report of a person with a gun on the 4100 block of Adriatic Sea Way, said Officer Allison Smith, a spokesperson for the department.

“The suspect attempted to rob a victim at gunpoint, however the victim was able to disarm the suspect and apprehend him,” Smith said. “The suspect has been detained, and a firearm was recovered.”

The victim suffered minor injuries, Smith said.
