The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that deputies arrested two people in connection with a reported vehicle theft.

Sheriff’s deputies recovered the stolen 2011 Nissan Sentra around 3 a.m. after the vehicle was identified by a Flock camera near the intersection of Howe Avenue and Arden Way in Arden Arcade, according to dispatch audio reviewed by The Sacramento Bee.

Two men, ages 36 and 45, were seen walking away from the vehicle at the time of the arrest, according to a Sheriff’s Office social media post. Deputies also found a backpack containing a handgun and narcotics paraphernalia.

The 45-year-old man had a felony no-bail warrant for vehicle theft, according to the Sheriff’s Office, as well as other misdemeanor warrants. The 36-year-old is a convicted felon on probation who is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Both men were booked into the Sacramento County Jail, according to the online jail roster. Their next court hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday.
