Homicide investigation

A 51-year-old man was stabbed to death in his Arden Arcade home early Saturday morning before the suspect fled the scene, officials said.

About 2:30 a.m., deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of a stabbing at the 1900 block of Ethan Way just east of Arden Fair mall, the Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post Saturday.

When deputies arrived, they found the 51-year-old man with two stab wounds, the post said. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The 51-year-old’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin are notified.

Deputies said the suspect had fled the area before they responded to the stabbing.

Crime scene investigators and homicide detectives were on scene working to locate the suspect Saturday morning, the release said.
