Dixon police investigating after body found near Milk Farm Road

Homicide investigation

Dixon police are investigating a suspicious death after officers found a man’s body Sunday near Milk Farm Road, department officials said.

A passerby reported the body to 911, and officers responded shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, police said.

The cause of death was not immediately known. However, the body’s condition prompted officers to request homicide detectives respond to the scene, according to the Dixon Police Department.

“At this time, the death is being treated as suspicious as a precaution while investigators work to determine the cause and circumstances,” Dixon police said in a statement. Police added that the designation is standard when the circumstances surrounding a death are unclear.

The Solano County Coroner’s Office was also notified and will release the man’s identity after next of kin have been notified.

Detectives continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact the Dixon Police Department at 707-678-7070.
