Folsom police searching for suspect after man injured in stabbing at park

A suspect remains at large after a Wednesday night stabbing in Folsom.

The Folsom Police Department said Thursday that a man was stabbed around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday on the 6000 block of Riley Street at Livermore Community Park, which includes a playground, softball fields and volleyball courts.

Police said the man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The investigation remained active Thursday afternoon, and no arrests had been made.

“We appreciate the community’s assistance and will provide additional information as it becomes available,” the Police Department said in a social media post.
