Three men were arrested on suspicion of burglary early Sunday after a witness called police and followed the suspect vehicle as it left an Elk Grove residence.
Officers responded to a home in the 9700 block of Kapalua Lane at 6:53 a.m. regarding a report of a burglary that had just occurred. A witness saw the suspects leave the residence in a vehicle and called 911.
While officers were en route, the witness followed the vehicle and provided a description and a license plate number, according to an Elk Grove Police Department summary of the incident. The witness stopped following the vehicle when one of the suspects allegedly pointed a hand gun in his direction, police said.
