A wildland fire near Upper Lake in Lake County remained at 20 percent contained Thursday morning after burning an estimated 450 acres.
The Elk fire started shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday at 12536 Elk Mountain Road, near Mount Dinge Road. It was reported burning in grass, oak woodland and brush.
No structures were threatened.
No cause has been determined for the blaze being fought by about 200 personnel, according to California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
