In honor of Danny Oliver, the Sacramento County deputy killed at the outset of Friday's crime spree in Sacramento and Auburn, a tribute has been set up on Facebook.

Called "Lights on for Danny Oliver," the page encourages participants to turn on porch lights at sundown each evening, using blue bulbs, or to use flameless candles in window with blue ribbons attached.

The page is an effort of the Heroes Memorial Foundation, a Florida-based nonprofit that honors deceased police officers and fire fighters.

By this morning, 4,800 people had signed up on the Facebook page to participate in the Lights On memorial.

Another Facebook page, True Blue Warriors, has posted tributes to both Oliver and Placer County Detective Michael David Davis Jr., who was also killed on Friday.
